Philly Cheesesteak Skillet

Ingredients

  • 1-2 while sweet peppers sliced
  • 1 yellow onion sliced
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 pack sliced mushrooms sliced
  • 2-3 cloves garlic
  • Salt + pepper
  • Onion powder
  • 4-6 oz provolone or mozzarella cheese shredded or cubed

Instructions

  • Sauté sliced peppers and onion with a drizzle of oil until translucent
  • Set aside
  • Brown ground beef with sliced mushroom until cooked through
  • Add in chopped garlic, S+P, onion powder until garlic is fragrant apx. 2 minutes
  • Add back in pepper and onion mix
  • Top with shredded or chopped cheese
  • Cover and cook until cheese is melted
  • Serve as stand alone or with fresh bread, roll, rice etc.

Notes

Crock pot:
Add all ingredients except cheese
Heat on low 4-6 hours
Add on cheese until melted
